About Erin Sheehan
My work is informed by my personal devotion to cultivating moments of silence in my busy days. I am a meditation teacher and scholar who brings these practices and themes into my creative art.
Wishing you wellness.
Erin
artist
My fine art is heavily informed by my reliance on the natural world to promote better balance in my mind. My meditation practice and commitment to cultivating silence find a creative outlet through my photography, paintings, and other works. It is my goal to share these pieces with others so that they can enjoy the way in which silence, nature, and balance manifest in my creative endeavors.
contemplative scholar
I am a mindfulness and contemplative studies professor, meditation teacher, and fine artist living in New Jersey with my husband and four children. I am a doctoral student and dedicated contemplative scholar, engaged with recent neuroscience and research to investigate our minds and experience in a deeper way to alleviate human suffering. I am most interested in bringing mindfulness practice into our relationships with digital devices and media to empower greater intentionality and less automation.
teacher
I work with individuals and groups on meditation instruction and program implementations. My work is informed by my own meditation practice, my time spent on retreat with other teachers, and ongoing education with organization such as the Mind & Life Institute, the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education, and the Digital Wellness Institute.
Please send me a message if you are interested in instruction, or visit my professional website, MAP Mindfulness for ongoing programs and classes.
